Roy T. Blankenship January 04, 1920 – March 07, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Roy T. Blankenship, 99, of Helena, AL passed away March 7, 2019. Roy attended Shiloh Baptist Church. He was a WWII veteran of the US Navy.

Roy retired from US Steel as an electrician with 40 years of service. He was a pillar of the community for anyone that needed him. He was preceded in death by his wives, Tommie Bishop Ramey and Helen M. Blankenship.

Roy is survived by his step son, Chuck (Norma) Elkins; his step daughter, Linda Raymond; his granddaughter, Stacey Blankenship Davis; 8 great grandchildren and his four legged friend “Babe”. Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home with burial following at Macedonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
