Rusty’s Obituary Russell Edward “Rusty” Wilder, 62, of Marshall, MO, died Saturday, January 19, 2019, at home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to the Automotive Program at Saline County Career Center. Friends may sign the online register book at www.

campbell-lewis.com Born September 1, 1956, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Harold E. “Cookie” Wilder and Beverly Kay Mikle Bradshaw who survives of Marshall. On March 17, 1979, he married Sally Ervin who survives of the home. He lived in Marshall his entire life, was a 1974 graduate of Marshall High School and had additional education at the University of Missouri.

He was the automotive technology instructor at Saline County Career Center since 1999. He was owner and operator of Wilder Electric for 25 years and was a certified instructor with Skills USA. He was very active in auto racing and along with his son Chad won the 1998 Drag Racing Championship at K.C.I.R.

Rusty’s racing team won two track championships at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex. He was also active in the Make-A-Wish Christmas Holiday Project in Marshall. Additional survivors include two sons, Chad Wilder and Corey Wilder both of Marshall; one grandson, Rylee Wilder; two sisters, Paula Glor of Marshall and Cheryl Mach (Brad) of rural Malta Bend; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Wayne “P.J.” Wilder.
