Steve’s Obituary Steve Eckhoff, 64, of rural Sweet Springs, MO, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 at his home. Memorial services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at St. John United Church of Christ in Emma with Pastor Tim Biesemeyer officiating. There will not be a formal visitation, but friends are invited to fellowship in the church basement following the service.

Memorials are suggested to family choice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. An online guestbook is available at www. campbell-lewis.com Born July 14, 1954 in Marshall, he was the son of the late Clyde Robert (Ike) Eckhoff and Betty Sprinkle Eckhoff.

Steve lived in the Sweet Springs area his entire life and was a 1972 graduate of Sweet Springs High School. On July 12, 1975 he married Nancy J. Meyer who survives of the home. He had worked at various jobs and earned his associate’s degree from State Fair Community College in 1992.

Steve was active in the community serving as a volunteer fireman, an auxiliary police officer, and a Boy Scout Leader with Troop 44, all in Sweet Springs. Steve liked to coon and deer hunt, shoot firearms for target practice, and spend time with family and friends. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ.

In addition to his wife, Nancy; he is survived by two sons, Jeremy Eckhoff (Laurie) and Travis Eckhoff, all of Sweet Springs; six grandchildren; one sister, Pam Rinkenbaugh (Bob) of Pleasant Hill; one brother, David Eckhoff (Connie) of Sedalia; as well as an aunt, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
