Scotty Ray Lowe, 36 of Holdenville passed away on April 26, 2018 in Norman, Oklahoma. He was born on December 30, 1981 in Ada, Oklahoma to James Lowe and Alice (Harjo) Lowe. Scotty began attending Holdenville Public Schools at the age of six months.

He had learned sign language by the age of 2. Watching 80’s action movies was his favorite pastime other than re-enacting the movies out with family. He loved his uncle Herman Harjo and spending time with him.

His mothers home cooked meals… Read More » were his favorite food although the sweets she served up were the best part of her meals. He loved to be ornery and laugh when he pulled a good stunt. Volunteering at the Holdenville Indian Community Center was such a fun time for Scotty.

He enjoyed working at Taylor’s Gym in Wewoka. Going to eat June’s Old Tyme Diner was his favorite place to eat out. He also enjoyed going to Wal-Mart and left every time with a toy gun.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Lizzie Harjo and Amos Harjo, Howard and Edna Lowe, aunts Anna Mae Bland and Tena Harjo, uncle Herman Harjo. Survivors include his mother, Alice Lowe of the home, father James Lowe and wife Pat, siblings Russell and Nancy Lowe of Holdenville, Stephen Lowe of Bixby, Galynn Lowe of Holdenville, Stacia Goodnight and husband Bryan of Tahlequah, nephews and nieces Wecate, Tenetka, Russell Jr., Joshua, Channse, Shannace, Pax, Jonathon, Samantha, Everado, Maniyah, Luis and Angel, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Wake service is scheduled for 6:00PM on Monday, April 30, 2018 at the Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.

Rev. Frank Moppin will officiate the service. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00PM on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Many Springs Baptist Church of Holdenville.

Rev. Jimmy Anderson will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Wecate Lowe, Danny Powell, Brian Postoak, Stephen Lowe Jr., Kevin Lowe, Anthony Harjo, Amos Lovejoy and Everado Acosta III.

Honorary bearers will be Oske Lowe, Tenetke Lowe, RJ Lowe, Chris Bass, Luis and Angel Navarro, Jonathon Channse, Josh Lowe. Interment will be at Yeager Cemetery in Yeager, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville.
