Shelvy J. Darlington September 05, 1951 – January 20, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Shelvy J. Darlington, 67, of Charles Town died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019 at her residence under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle. Born Sept.

5, 1951 in Ranson. She was the daughter of Lawrence L. Linton and Kathleen L. (Chrisman) Viands. Mrs. Darlington retired after 47 years with the CIA.

Also, she was a contractor for CACI as an office manager. She was a member of Rock Spring Church. She graduated from Charles Town High School, class of 1970 and had other graduate classes.

She was a member of South Jefferson Ruritan Club, former member of Women of the Moose Chapter 1028, Charles Town and she was a Boy Scout Den mother. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jerry Darlington, at home; sons, Patrick Darlington, of Charles Town and Michael Darlington, of Ranson; grandchildren, Corey Darlington, Logan Darlington and Trevor Darlington. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert W. Linton.

Services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019 at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town with Pastor Mike Lowery officiating. Interment will be private.
