Born on January 28, 1937 in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Edward Fowler and Bernice (Stallings) Fowler. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved to dance.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roland H. Bowen, a son, Jesse Richard Bowen, a daughter, Germaine Lisa Bowen, 6 brothers and 6 sisters. She is survived by 4 daughters: Joan E. Caldwell, Caroline Coffman, Darlene Bowen, all of Augusta, Marjorie Ballenger of Winchester, VA; a son, Larry Bowen of Ohio; 3 sisters, Delores, Virginia and Linda; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 7:00 PM at McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, WV.

Interment will be in Wesley Cemetery, Prince Frederick, MD. Friends will be received from 6:00 PM until time of service. All arrangements are being handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV.
