Sylvia Merea Haymond February 07, 1930 – February 14, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Sylvia Merea Haymond, 89, of Augusta, WV passed away on Thursday February 14, 2019 at Winchester Medical Center. Born on February 7, 1930 in Elkins, WV, she was the daughter of the late Davis and Pearl Jane (Hannah) Jackson. She was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother.

She had worked as a cook at the Romney Senior Center and Romney Deaf & Blind School. She was Protestant by faith. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Creed Haymond, a son, Dale Haymond, a brother and seven sisters.

Surviving are five sons, Johnnie Haymond of Lady Lake, FL, Rex Haymond of Augusta, WV, Mike Haymond of Front Royal, VA, Mark Haymond of Front Royal, VA, Carl Haymond of Augusta, WV; three daughters, Patty Skipper of Culpeper, VA, Rachel Giles of Cartersville, GA, Peggy Switzer of Keedysville, MD; a sister, Shirley Sharp of Elkins, WV; twenty-five grandchildren, forty-five great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday February 18, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta with Pastor Denzil Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Branch Mt.

Baptist Cemetery, Three Churches, WV. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 7:00-9:00 at the funeral home. All arrangements are being handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV.
