Obituary for Shirley Marie Smith Shirley Marie Smith, age 75 of Rockwall, TX, passed away July 15, 2018. She was born November 10, 1942, in Walsenburg, CO, to William Andrew Smith and Maude (Lupton) Smith. Ms. Smith was a kind and compassionate caregiver, and her career at Rockwall Nursing Center fit her perfectly.

She loved taking care of both people and animals, and would give her last dollar to someone in need. She loved her family very much and always put them first, spending as much time with them as she could. Those who knew her will miss her sweet spirit.

Ms. Smith is survived by her children: Laurence Allen Mohler and wife Julie, Nelson Patrick Tipton, William Harvey Tipton and wife Casey and Patricia Marie Hunter and husband Rockey; grandchildren: Janet Ruth, Troy Jackson, Mason Cole, Peyton Ansleigh and Austin Blake; siblings: Boots Hall, Neil Smith, Dorothy Johns and David Smith; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. No services are planned.
