Stephen J. Rosten, 60, of Beaver Grove, died Tuesday morning, July 24, 2018 at his home following an illness. He was born March 1, 1958 in Ferndale, Michigan, a son of the late Bernhardt and Edith (James) Rosten. He moved to the Marquette area as a child with his family and was a 1976 graduate of Marquette Senior High School.

Stephen worked in maintenance at the Empire Mine for many years and retired in 2011. He is survived by his wife, Nancy (O’Neill) Rosten of Beaver Grove, whom he married on June 14, 1980; sons, Richard (Kathryn) Rosten of Marquette, Bryan (Nicole Howard) Rosten of Harvey and TJ Rosten of Beaver Grove; grandchildren, Drake, Ezra, Benjamin, Lyric, Morgan and Lincoln; a sister, Mary (Clyde) Banks of Brookville, FL; brother, Ben (Carol) Rosten of Harvey; and nieces & nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the Salvation Army, 1009 W. Baraga Ave. in Marquette, at 2pm.
