Stephen Thomas, 63, Home, died Friday, January 11, 2019, at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. The son of Fred and E. Arlene (Rebar) Thomas, he was born October 24, 1955 in Johnstown, PA. Steve was a 1973 graduate of Marion Center Area High School and had attended IUP.

He loved nature, animals, plants and searching for morel mushrooms. He was a fan of the Steelers, Penguins, and WVU sports. His interests also included photography, an interest he had developed in high school.

He will be remembered as a beloved son and a loving husband and father. Surviving is his wife, Mary (Adams) Thomas, whom he wed July 18, 1981; mother, E. Arlene (Rebar) Thomas, Home; a daughter, Melody Thomas, who was the light of his life, Morgantown, WV; half brother and sister, Gary and Kathy Thomas, both of Pittsburgh; and his cats, Aprella, Watson, Sherlock, Mycroft and Finch. Preceding Steve in death was his father, Fred Thomas.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Tuesday, from 4 to 7 pm at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either Four Footed Friends or the Indiana Humane Society.
