Susan’s Obituary Susan Larson, 56, rural Souris, formerly of Fergus Falls, MN, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Trinity Hospital in Minot. Susan was born on April 2, 1962 in Fergus Falls, MN, to William and Joy (Sandeno) Colbeck. She was raised and educated in Fergus Falls, graduating from Hillcrest Lutheran Academy in 1980.

After graduation, Susan attended St. Luke’s Nursing School in Fargo, graduating in May 1982. On December 18, 1982, she married Peter Larson, in Fergus Falls. The couple moved to rural Souris area where Peter farmed.

Susan then began working at Westhope Home for the next 27 years, retiring in 2010, when the home closed. After retirement, she enjoyed helping Peter on the family farm. Susan is survived by her husband, Peter; son Jacob Larson, Souris, and daughter Jori Larson, Minot; sister Dawn (Scott) Hanson of Moorhead, MN; brother Scott (Debbie) Colbeck of Fergus Falls, MN; parents-in-law Arnold and Jordiene Larson; a sister-in-law Debbie (Don) Kleven; and two brothers-in-laws: Jeremy (Kaylie) Larson and Eric Larson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law Diane Wingenbach. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Minot with visitation beginning one hour prior to the start of the service. Burial will take place at Nederos Cemetery in rural Souris at a later date.
