Johnson, Retired Elder and Interim Pastor at Quayle United Methodist Church, Oklahoma City officiating Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. Terry R. Reffett, 74, Lawton, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019 in Lawton.

Terry was born January 15, 1945 in Joplin, Missouri to William G. and Delores (Horner) Reffett. He grew up in Baxter Springs, Kansas and graduated from Baxter Springs High School in 1962. He attended college at Pittsburg State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1966.

While at Pittsburg State, he was a member of the Keathley Rifles Drill Team. Terry accepted a job at Stanfield and O’Dell Accounting Services in Tulsa following college and later transferred to Lawton in 1968. It was when Terry came to Lawton that he met, dated, fell in love and married Patricia C. Menendez on September 7, 1968.

Terry became an accountant for the City of Lawton and held that job until his retirement. He was a past president of the Lawton Jaycees and was a member of the Great Plains Ambucs of Lawton. Terry was an avid sports fan and enjoyed attending sporting events in the area.

He officiated football and basketball games in southwest Oklahoma for many years. He was an avid Oklahoma Sooner fan and a lifelong St. Louis Cardinal fan. He loved to golf, bowl, play bingo and go to Las Vegas.

Terry is survived by his wife Patricia of the home, son Michael Reffett and wife Kendell of Lawton, granddaughter Kenley Reffett of Lawton, brother-in-law, Vic Menendez and wife Sheri of Lawton, niece, Jennifer Harrison of Enid and many other cousins, extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Vic Menendez, Sr. and wife Caroline. Memorial contributions may be made to the Great Plains Ambucs of Lawton, PO Box 242, Lawton, OK 73502-0242.
