Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Fletcher Cemetery with Pastor Matt Kelly, Letitia Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. Dolores “Dee” Bauman, age 91, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 in Oklahoma City.

She was born December 2, 1927 in Elgin, Oklahoma to Clarence and Ruth Laura (Grant) Hardzog. She married Fred E. Bauman on February 20, 1946 in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. They moved to Oklahoma City in 1953 where Dee opened and ran a beauty shop in her home for 30 plus years.

In 1989 both Fred and Dee retired and moved to Elgin to be with friends and family. They purchased an 80 acre farm and raised cattle. Dee enjoyed entertaining, sewing, quilting and listening and dancing to country music.

Dee was active in the Elgin chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star where she served as secretary/treasurer and Worthy Matron. She was a member of Richards Spur Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Jim McCarty and his wife, Sharon, Mustang, Oklahoma and Steve R. Bauman, Edmond, Oklahoma, daughter, Laura Mills, Edmond, Oklahoma, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Randy Bauman, brother, C.C. Hardzog, two sisters, Wanda Ruth Seals and Alene Brown and great granddaughter, Emilee Bauman.
