OBITUARY Valaree Farley July 18, 1927 – December 22, 2018 Valaree Farley, age 91 passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and rare sixth generation grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Mrs. Farley was a member of the 6th Avenue Church of Christ in Jasper, AL for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Neil Farley and her parents, Riley and Roxie Raney; a daughter, Sandra Jane Nicastro; brothers, Donald “Buddy” Raney and Orell Raney; her sisters, Eula McCuin, Vela Eason, Irene Campbell, Clara Mae Chandler, and Iva Lee “Doodie” Chandler; grandson, Steven Dale Palmer. Mrs. Farley is survived by her sons, Laymon Oneil Palmer (Billie) and Roger Allen Palmer (Judy); her daughters, Paula Farley McDaniel (Wendell) and Iva Farley Hecker (Dan), son-in-law, Pete Nicastro (Kathleen); grandchildren, Joshua Blake McDaniel, Bret Farley McDaniel, Bart Fredriek McDaniel, Betsy McDaniel Nicholson, Bailey Brigham Gladden, Elijah Timothy Brigham, Russell Allen Palmer, Robyn Ann Palmer, Carla Nicastro Sharp, Christopher Carl Nicastro, Gina Lee Owen, Michael Oneil Palmer, Tamatha Sue Shugrue, Gregory Scott Palmer, Mark Anthony Giovino, and Melinda Cox; 25 great grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; and 1 great-great-great grandchild. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, December 27th at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 5 to 8 PM followed by Chapel services on Friday at 11 AM.

Interment will be in Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale.
