Wilfred Eugene “Will” Brosey, 92, of Finksburg, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Carroll Hospice Dove House. Born April 22, 1926 in Connersville, Indiana he was the son of the late Alva E. and Esther W. Brosey. He was the devoted husband of Zelma Valaire Brosey, whom he married December 20, 1953.
Will was a proud veteran of the Army Air Corps and served during WWII. Will was employed for over 30 years as an electrical engineer for Westinghouse, until his retirement in 1992.
He was a member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce. He loved spending time with his family, traveling and taking cruises with his wife. Among his favorite destinations were Hawaii, New Zealand and the Panama Canal.
He was a dedicated member of Glen Burnie Church of Christ, where he served as an Elder. Surviving in addition to his wife are children William Brosey and wife Jamie of Knoxville, TN, Winifred Sylvester of Finksburg, James Brosey and wife Patricia of Leesburg, VA, Daniel Brosey and wife Terri of Finksburg, Steven Brosey and wife Elizabeth of Severn, Nancy Katunick and husband Michael of Finksburg; 22 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 nieces and 3 nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; sister Elva Louise Martin; son-in-law John Sylvester; two grandsons Peter Eugene Brosey and Alexander Nash Brosey; and great-grandson Isaiah LaRue Brosey.
The family will welcome friends on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd. , Westminster. Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 27th at 11:00 am with his minister, Gary Calton, officiating.
