Obituary of Wilma Lena Green Wilma Lena Green, 84, of Bay City, our beautiful, spiritual, loving, and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend was born into eternal life on the evening of Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at her home. Wilma was born on March 6, 1934 in Au Gres, the daughter of the late Sherman and Martha (Alexander) Inman. While living in Missouri, she met the love of her life, Alphus “Duke” Green at a dance hall in Caruthersville.

They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on December 24, 1961. Together they shared 45 years of dancing and marriage, three children, and countless memories. Sadly, Alphus predeceased Wilma on March 16, 2006.

Wilma was an excellent home maker and a member of the Red Hat Society. Throughout life, she enjoyed quilting, crocheting, crafting, cooking, and baking. She will be missed dearly.

Wilma leaves to cherish her memory, her three children, Duane Green, Glenda (Chris) Pietryga, and Lorena (John) Anspach; her four beautiful granddaughters, Samantha, Heather, Ashlee, and Candace, along with one great-granddaughter, Carlee. In addition to her parents and husband, Wilma was welcomed home to heaven by her brothers, Robert, Norman, Sherman, and Richard; her sisters, Betty, Bernice, and Mary, along with her beloved dog, Megan. Wilma’s family will be present to receive visitors on Friday, June 8, 2018 from 11:00 AM until the time of her 1:00 PM Life Celebration at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremations Services, 955 N. Pine Rd.

, Hampton Twp. Interment will follow in Floral Gardens Cemetery with a Celebration of Life Reception to follow in The Wesley Room at Skorupski’s. Memorial contributions may be directed to McLaren Hospice.
