Wrayburn F. “Ray” Haynes Jr. April 07, 1942 – February 08, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Wrayburn F. “Ray” Haynes Jr., of Oil Creek Rd. , Spring Creek, Pa. died on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Warren General Hospital.

Ray was born April 7, 1942 in Potter, NY a son of the late Wrayburn F. and June Ashbaugh Haynes Sr. Ray moved to the Warren, Pa. area as a young boy where he was raised and educated. Following his graduation from Warren High School, he received an Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering from Devry Technical Institute in Chicago, Ill.

Ray was drafted into the United States Army in 1962 and served stateside as a MP in Long Island, NY during the Vietnam War. Following his honorable discharge in 1964, he returned to Warren and began working at National Forge in Irvine, Pa. He worked there for 36 years in several areas but mostly as a crane operator.

Ray was member of the American Legion Post 135 in Warren, Loyal Order of Moose -Warren Lodge 109 and the NRA. Ray was an avid hunter and fisherman and will be remembered as a great storyteller. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Charles Geer II and a grandson, Wrayburn F. Haynes IV Ray is survived by his wife, Ruby (Stanley) Haynes whom he married on July 19, 1969, in Spring Creek, Pa.

; a daughter, Tonya Geer of Corry, Pa. ; a son, Wrayburn F. “Wray” Haynes III of Hampton, VA. ; three sisters, Patricia Genberg of Alexandria, VA.

, Rosalie Feeney of Russell, Pa. , and Jeannie Riggle and her husband Jeff of Scandia, Pa. ; and a brother, Chet Walters of Warren, Pa.

Also surviving are six grandchildren, Charles Geer III, Tessa Geer and Sierra Geer all of Corry, Pa. ; Kieran Haynes, Victoria Haynes and Seamus Finn Haynes all of Hampton, VA. ; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held at his home at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice of Warren County, 2 W. Crescent Park, Warren, Pa. 16365.
