Zelma’s Obituary PETERSTOWN, WV – Zelma Katherine “Cricket” Wickline Carter, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at the New River Valley Medical Center in Radford, VA. Born December 10, 1948, in Red Sulphur Springs, WV, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Rosie Dillon Wickline. Zelma was of the Pentecostal Faith.

She was a homemaker and a beloved mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee Carter; one son, Robert Carter; one grandson, Shaun Carter; two brothers, Tommy and Harry Wickline; and one sister, Effie Wickline. Survivors include two sons, James Carter and wife Marjoy of TX, and Rixie Davis and wife Susie of CA; one daughter, Rebecca Davis Bradley and husband Ronnie of Ballard, WV; one daughter-in-law, Lesa Cole of Lindside, WV; eight grandchildren, Amber “Tasha” Carter, Lesa Carter, Little James Carter, Joshua Carter, Little Rixie Davis, Quinlan Davis, Heather Davis, and Casey Bradley; and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Rev. Anthony Carter officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
