Obituary for Albert David Sellars Ayden- Albert David Sellars 96 passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice in Greenville. He was born in Greene County to the late James Lawrence and Verna Wood Sellars. Albert served his country in WWII as Private First Class, serving as a military police officer.

He was a farmer and also worked for 20 years in the Maintenance Department for the North Carolina Department of Transportation. Albert is preceded in death by four sisters, Helen Speight, Elizabeth Sellars, Louise Stocks, and Lillian Smith. He is survived by his sister Mildred Harris, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers for Alberts funeral will be James Stocks, Ronald Smith Jr., Lowell Speight, Donald Carroll III, Leslie May, and Alan Spikes. Funeral services will be Friday, February 2, 2018, 2pm at Farmer Funeral Service in Ayden, officiated by Rev. Rebecca Aiken.

Burial will follow at the Grifton Town Cemetery with Military honors. Visitation will be one hour prior to service from 1-2 pm. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Albert David Sellars please visit our Sympathy Store.
