Obituary for Alfred Glen Blevins SEVIERVILLE, TENNESSEE – Alfred Glen Blevins, 80, died Monday, June 4, 2018 at Sevierville Health and Rehab, Sevierville, Tennessee. He was born in Russell County, Virginia; son of the late John and Lillian Bush Blevins. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Patty Shortridge and Hazel Hamilton Kennedy.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army and retired from General Motors Corporation. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Mary Frances Trent Blevins; one son, Vernon Glen Blevins and wife, Hilary of Hazel Park, Michigan; one grandson, Scott Glen Blevins of Sterling Heights, Michigan; one granddaughter, Frankie Blevins of Sterling Heights, Michigan; three brothers, Johnny Blevins and wife, Sue of Castlewood, Virginia, Tommy Blevins and wife, Barbara of St. Paul, Virginia and Ricky Blevins and wife, Kim of Bristol, Virginia; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Alfred Glen Blevins will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2018 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev.
Harold Shortridge and Rev. Steve Rodgers of New Hope Church, Sevierville, Tennessee officiating. Committal Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2018 in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia.
Military Rites will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, and Virginia National Guard. Family and Friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Pallbearers will be nephews.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Blevins, Ronnie McReynolds, Roger Bush and Jimmy Bush. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2018 in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia.
