Obituary for Barbara Burton ST. PAUL, VIRGINIA – Barbara Burton, 77, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on Sugar Hill in St. Paul, Virginia; daughter of the late Lowell and Roberta Davidson Kennedy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Speedy” Burton; daughters, Nancy Ann Burton and Donna Gail Austin; brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Debbie Kennedy; brother-in-law’s, Thomas Quinn and David Feathers; daughter-in-law, Renee Burton; niece, Betsy Quinn. She was a retired school teacher for Wise County Virginia School System. She is survived by her two Daughters, Mary Jessee and husband, Frankie of Castlewood, Virginia and Susan Campbell and husband, Tony of Fall Branch, Tennessee; two sons, James “Jim” Burton and Richard Burton both of Castlewood, Virginia; six grandchildren, Crystal Ingle and husband, Jr. of St. Paul, Virginia, Shannan Steele, Castlewood, Virginia, Virginia “Jenny” Hale and husband, Ben, of Castlewood, Virginia, Terry James “George” Burton of Castlewood, Virginia, Technical Sergeant Phillip Campbell and wife, Nicole of Beale AFB, California and Chad Campbell of Fall Branch, Tennessee; six great grandchildren, Autumn, Hannah and Dylan Ingle of St. Paul, Virginia, , Michael and Ava Jo Hale of Castlewood, Virginia, and Gavin Greer of Castlewood, Virginia; brothers and sisters, Belinda Feathers of Ormond Beach, Florida, Freda Lester and husband, Allen of St. Paul, Virginia, Sandra Quinn of Kingsport, Tennessee, Tom Kennedy and wife, Laurie of St. Paul, Virginia, Kathy Smith and husband, Tom of Abingdon, Virginia, Kay Burke and husband, Ike of St. Paul, Virginia, Brent Kennedy and wife, Rita of West Virginia and Jean Vaughn and husband, Jeff of Kingsport, Tennessee; special aunt, Celea Kennedy of Coeburn, Virginia; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Services for Barbara Burton will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2018 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Doug Trent officiating. Committal Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2018 in Burton Family Cemetery, Bull Hill, St. Paul, Virginia.

Family and Friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. July 10, 2018 in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia.
