Obituary for Arthur E. “Artie” Manning ARTHUR E. “Artie” MANNING Arthur Earl “Artie” Manning of Charlotte ended his struggle with heart disease on Friday September 07, 2018. Artie was a lifelong resident of Charlotte born July 12, 1963. He grew up in the North Charlotte neighborhood now known as Plaza Midwood and established life long friendships from his early days.

He had a quick wit and a kind heart which he shared generously with his family and his extended family of friends. He worked as a mechanic and his passions included cars, motorcycles, family and friends. He lived life by his own terms and remained fearless and unapologetic in his choices.

He was always ready with a smile, a laugh, encouragement or support. He was loved by many and will be missed by even more. He is survived by son, Evan Manning of Mint Hill; daughter in law Maria Manning of Mint Hill; four brothers, Mike, Chuck, Tommy and Andy and three grandchildren Aiden, Austin & Avery.

Per Artie’s request, there will be no funeral service, however a memorial gathering of friends and family will be held on Wednesday September 12, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home 4715 Margaret Wallace Rd Matthews, NC 28105. In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations be made to the Levine & Dickson Hospice House at Aldersgate 1825 Eastway Drive Charlotte, NC 28215 To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Arthur E. “Artie” Manning please visit our Sympathy Store.
