Arthur (Jeep) K. Pirkle, born May 14, 1937 in Augusta Georgia, passed away on February 15, 2018 in Yuma Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Koger and Bonnie Hensley Pirkle. Jeep served his country in the United States Marine Corp for 22 years.

He was a Vietnam veteran, a published author and enjoyed restoring Winchester and Colt firearms. He is survived by his loving wife Patty, daughters Lynn Pirkle (Brenda Holland) and Alicia Spencer (Steve Spencer), his grandsons Jake and Drew Spencer, his sisters Lynn Pirkle Holley, of Beech Island, SC and Jo Albritton (Andy), of Athens, Ga and his brother Jim Pirkle (Jeane) of Lake Oconee, GA. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, May 5, 2018 in the Hensley Cemetery on Phillips Road in Burnsville, NC.
