Sheila Fox Edwards, 50, of Mars Hill, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Mission Hospitals Memorial Campus. A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of Shelby Jean Penland Fox of Burnsville and the late Eugene Fox. Sheila graduated from Mayland Community College with an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, is her husband: Rickie Edwards of Mars Hill; 2 sons: Tyler Edwards and wife, Danielle, and Casey Edwards and wife, Erica; a grandson: Maverick Edwards; a granddaughter: Brooklyn Edwards; and, a brother: Derrick Fox and wife, Lori, all of Burnsville. Funeral services will be held at 3PM Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at Old Path Church located at 5060 State Highway NC 80 South, Burnsville. Rev.

Matthew Hopson will officiate. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery on John Henry Road. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
