Obituary for Benjamin Patrick Belden Benjamin Patrick Belden, 41, of Murfreesboro, TN was born October 18, 1977 in Livonia, Michigan to Vickie and Michael Belden. He passed away January 5, 2019 in Ames, Iowa. He served 8 years in the United States Navy, until his Honorable Discharge in September of 2005.

Benjamin never met a person he couldn’t make laugh. His personality filled rooms with light and his laughter was contagious. His language of choice was movie quotes.

He made an impact on everyone he encountered and will be missed greatly. We wait for the day when we can once again ask him, “who told you that, Ben? ” Benjamin leaves behind his wife, Elizabeth Kohl Belden of Murfreesboro, TN; his children, Bethany Dawn, Christian Amadeus, Caitlin Amber, Caleb Andrew and Wyatt Sterling all of Norwalk, IA; mother, Vickie Louise Belden (Morgan) and father, Michael Scott Belden; siblings, Angi Kay Lively, Aimee Michelle Paturno, Scott Matthew Belden, Rebecca Lyn Smith and Brian Christopher Belden; as well as his, 28 nieces, nephews and grandnieces.

An informal Celebration of Life Gathering will be held with close friends and family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, financial contributions can be made to either the STEM Preparatory Academy in Nashville, TN or The Nashville Symphony.
