Obituary for Betty E. Davis Betty Davis, 87, of Beloit, WI, died Friday, April 27, 2018 at Beloit Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 9, 1931 in Madison, WI, the daughter of John and Carmen (Batz) Spahn. Betty was a 1949 graduate of Sun Prairie High School and attended Whitewater State College.

She married Clifford Davis on June 26, 1954 in Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, Sun Prairie, WI. He predeceased her on June 26, 2012. Betty was employed by Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic School, teaching History to the sixth, seventh, and eighth grade classes.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church and prayer chain. Betty volunteered at Meals on Wheels, St. Vincent De Paul, and worked the polls for the city of Beloit. Survivors include her sons, William “Bill” (Kathleen) Davis of Elkhorn, WI and Peter (Tiffani) Davis of Holly Springs, NC; grandchildren, Nathan Davis of Minneapolis, MN, Zach Davis of Pewaukee, WI, Bennett and Emersyn Davis both of Holly Springs, NC and Casey Davis of Nashville, TN; sister-in-law, Ann Spahn of Sun Prairie, WI.

She was predeceased by her parents; son, Clifford Davis Jr., and brothers, John and Paul Spahn. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for Betty will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018 in Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 2222 Shopiere Road, Beloit, WI, with Fr. Michael Resop officiating.

Inurnment will be in Mt. Thabor Cemetery’s Good Shepherd Columbarium. Visitation of remembrance will be from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Friday in the church.
