Obituary for Kenneth D. Harper Kenneth D. Harper, 95, of Beloit, WI, died Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in Premier Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing. He was born June 1, 1922 in Richland County, WI, the son of Alfred and Carolyn (Anderson) Harper. Ken was a graduate of Muscoda High School.

He was a veteran serving with the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1943 until 1946. Ken married Henrietta “Terry” Kypke on December 15, 1961 in Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Madison, WI.

She predeceased him on October 11, 2002. Ken was employed by Fairbanks Morse for 36 years as a diesel engine engineer, retiring in 1982. He enjoyed reading magazines and books on cars and watching NASCAR.

He kept an immaculate yard and flowers that grew there. Ken and Henrietta enjoyed traveling often in their trailer, especially to Alaska. He loved dogs and babysat his daughter’s dogs every day for the last ten years.

Ken liked to play bridge and was the biggest Milwaukee Brewer fan around. He was a member of the Fairbanks Quarter Century Club, the American Legion West-Field Post #48, and a volunteer at Beloit Memorial Hospital for 17 years. Survivors include his daughter, Linda Brewster of Beloit, WI; grandchildren, Mark (Amy) Brewster of Appleton, WI, Randy (Renee) Brewster of Beloit, WI, and Debra Brewster of Beloit, WI; great grandchildren, Riley, Andrew, and Claire Brewster; brother, Alfred (Beverly) Harper of tonville, WI; sister, Carol Scholl of tonville, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Melvin Harper; and son-in-law, Tom Brewster. Private family graveside services will be held in East Lawn Cemetery. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI assisted the family with arrangements.
