Obituary for Betty Garnet Neeley Betty Garnet Neeley, age 87 of Milton, WV passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her children on Monday, June 11, 2018. Born December 19th, 1930 in Lefthand, WV she was the daughter of the late Clarence Dial and Bessie Ann Justice. She was also preceded in death by her parents; Clarence and Bessie, her husband of 59 years Ivan, one brother; Robey (Ruth) Justice of Massillon, OH, two sisters, Lake Drake of Uniontown, OH, Gladys Carpenter of St. Albans and her beloved son, Jack Edward (Pat) Neeley of Teays Valley.

On July 20th 1947 she married Ivan Wesley Neeley, Sr. of South Charleston, WV. Together they had nine children. Betty was a homemaker and devoted her life to raising her children and grandchildren.

The love she had for her family was unconditional. In the late 80’s, she enjoyed working alongside her daughters at O.R. Colan Associates. Betty was an excellent cook and took great pleasure in preparing meals for her family and friends and looked forward to Friday night Bingo with her children.

Betty is survived by her 8 children; Ivan Wesley Neeley, Sr., of Charleston, WV, Verna Ann Neeley of Inverness, FL, Charles Richard Neeley of Milton, WV, Valorie Neeley & (Jim Tippie) of Charleston, WV, Paul Neeley of Greeneville, TN, Beverly Neeley of Charleston, WV, Mark (Becky) Neeley of Greeneville, TN, and Donna Neeley of Pensacola, FL. One sister, Donna (KB) Cavender of Hurricane, WV. She is survived by 4 generations that will love and miss her forever.

Friends will be received at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane, WV on Wednesday, June 13that 2:00 pm. Service at 3:00 p.m. and interment to follow at Valley View Memorial Cemetery in Hurricane, WV. Chapman Funeral Home, family owned and located at 3941 Teays Valley Road Hurricane WV 25526, is honored to be serving the Neeley family.
