Billy Lewis Stark, 82, of Bowling Green passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. Billy was born April 12, 1936 in Allen Co., KY. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur Stark and Flossie Stark Myers and sister Barbara Binnion of Cincinnati, OH.

Billy was a retired Captain of the Warren County Sheriff’s Department. He was an avid horseman and farmer. He also managed Bourbon Livestock Center for many years.

He was a tough but compassionate man and a brilliant storyteller. Survivors include his wife of 60 years Mary Evelyn (Shields) Stark, three daughters Marilyn Stark of West Bend, WI; Cindy Hines (John) of Bowling Green; and Cheryl Rushing (Kelley) of Sikeston, MO; four wonderful grandchildren Hattie Hines (Dan Johnson), Matt Rushing (Alli), Heather Hines (Joseph Gore) and Amy Rushing (fiancé Sam King). He is survived by several nieces and a nephew.

Memorial services will be Friday, June 22, 2018, 5:00 pm at J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Visitation will be 2:30 pm Friday until time of services at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to BGWC Humane Society.
