Obituary for Bob Stewart Causby Bob Causby, age 63, of Granite Falls, went home to be with his Lord and Savior at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, Hudson, on Sunday, April 29, 2018. He was born April 11, 1955, son of the late Ralph Causby and Viola Mae Chester Causby. He was a member of Dudley Shoals Baptist Church where he served as a former deacon, Sunday School teacher, Director of Children’s Chapel and Training Union.
He loved the Lord and longed to be with Him. Bob had a full and wonderful life. The light and love of his life was his beautiful baby girl, Ashley.
He loved all his brothers and sisters and spending time with them. He loved the people he worked with, his nieces and nephews, and all his family. Bob never met a stranger.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant brother; two brothers, Roy Causby and Gary “Squeak” Causby; one sister Pat Causby. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 43 years, Sandra Causby of the home; one daughter, Ashley Causby of Lenoir; five brothers, Wayne Causby and wife Deborah of Buffalo Cove, Ralph Jr. “Short” Causby and wife Pansy of Conover, Steve Causby and wife Betty of Granite Falls, Mark “Fatz” Causby and wife Patti of Granite Falls; Joe Causby and wife Sandy of Lincolnton; five sisters, Mabel Laney of Granite Falls, Donna Coffey of Granite Falls, Rita Livingston and husband Jackie of Hudson, NC, Connie Allison and husband Donnie of Lenoir; Joan Sanders of Lenoir. The funeral service will be Wednesday, May 2, 2018, 2:00 PM at Dudley Shoals Baptist Church.
Rev. Gordon West, Rev. Don Ingle, and Brad Bumgardner will officiate.
Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will meet and greet friends at Temple Hill Baptist Church after the burial. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Caldwell County Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, SW, Lenoir, NC 28645 or Dudley Shoals Baptist Church, 1882 Dudley Shoals Road, Granite Falls, NC 28630.
