Obituary for Mr. Brian J. Conto Brian J. Conto, 57, of Chateaugay, died on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the Alice Hyde Medical Center, Malone with his family and friends by his side. Born on May 17, 1961 in Malone, NY he was the son of Armand J. (Elmer) and Ruth (Mussaw) Conto. He married Jeannie Kingsbury on April 2, 2005 at their home on Chateaugay Lake surrounded by family and friends.

Following graduation Brian moved to Virginia and was employed in Washington D.C. Upon returning to Malone in 1992, he was employed by the NYS Department of Transportation. In 1999, he began working at Barehill Correctional Facility in Malone as an electrical technician until his retirement in May 2016. Brian loved working on boats, motors and building docks and spending time on his speedboat.

He had an infectious knee-slapping laugh and loved to hunt and fish. Brian enjoyed being with his family and friends on the lake. Brian was the best husband and father anyone could ask for.

Brian is survived by his wife, Jeannie Kingsbury Conto of Chateaugay Lake; a son Kyle Conto of Saranac Lake; a sister, Connie St. Mary and her husband Tom of Malone; a brother Gary Conto and his wife Donna of Saylorsburg, PA. He is predeceased by his parents. Calling hours will be held at St. Mary-Murphy-Wilcox Funeral Home on Thursday, May 31 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. A prayer service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel.
