Caesar (Lou)’s Obituary Caesar (Lou) Carini, 80, Minot, ND, passed away Monday, February 25, 2019, in a Minot hospital with his family by his side. Caesar Louis Carini was born October 19, 1938, the son of Benvenuto and Giovana Carini, in Brooklyn, NY. He was raised and educated in New York.

Caesar enlisted in the United States Air Force on August 20, 1956. He proudly served his country while being stationed in many locations before finally coming to Minot, ND in 1968, where he settled with his family. He was honorably discharged after retiring on August 31, 1982 with 26 years of faithful service.

He continued to work at Minot Air Force Base Commissary for many years and became known as the “Coupon King”. Caesar married RoseMarie Schlag on August 16, 1975. They made their home in Minot, where they raised two daughters: Heidi and Jennifer.

Caesar was a member of the Eagles, where he enjoyed playing pool, the American Legion and the VFW. He enjoyed watching his TV shows, especially Hogan’s Heroes, sitting with his little dog Sam, listing to radio programs, and having his grandchildren visit. Surviving family includes: Wife of 43 years, RoseMarie Carini; daughters, Heidi (John) Foss and Jennifer (Jon) Birkholz; grandchildren, Brandy Foss and Dax, Adele and Brynn Birkholz; sister, Rosalie Wohlfromm; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Caesar was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dolores; and his parents-in-law, Carl and MaryAnn Schlag. Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, March 2, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot, ND. Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. with a Vigil Prayer Service and Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 5:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND.
