Obituary of Charles Yachetta Charles Francis “Chuck” Yachetta, 77, of Jamestown passed away unexpectedly Thursday (April 26, 2018) in his home. A lifelong area resident he was born September 26, 1940 in Jamestown, the son of the late Anthony J. and Rose H. Fiorella Yachetta. Chuck was a graduate of Falconer High School and was employed by Jamestown Container for 45 years retiring in 2008.

He was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church, OLL Holy Name Society, Lakewood Rod & Gun Club, Falconer Rod & Gun Club and Chautauqua Co. Automobile Club. Chuck enjoyed cooking, flying his airplane having a private pilot’s license, motorcycles and going to the casino. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend.

Chuck will also be remembered for his sense of humor, storytelling and jokes. Surviving are his wife Beverly I. Hallberg Yachetta whom he married May 23, 1959 in Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church; a son Francis “Chic” (Rhonda) Yachetta of Falconer; a daughter Cynthia (Timothy) Lafever of Olean, NY; five grandchildren: Sydney Yachetta, Nicholas Yachetta, Charissa (Nathan) Currier, Tim (KellyJo) Lafever, Stephanie Lafever; four great grandchildren: Caleb and Braden Currier, Carter and Caidee Lafever; two brothers: Ronald Yachetta of Jamestown, Jerold (Kathy) Yachetta of Falconer; a sister Frances (Jim) Rybicki of Falconer and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother in 1981 and father in 1989.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church, Falconer. Rev. Joseph Jananczek pastor of the church will be celebrant.

Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends will be received by the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the Falconer Funeral Home.

The Altar and Rosary service will conduct a rosary service at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. A Christian Wake service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. Memorials may be donated to Falconer Fire Department, Falconer, NY 14733 or the Holy Name Society of OLL, 309 W. Everett St., Falconer, NY 14733.
