Obituary of Margaret DeAngelo Margaret M. DeAngelo, 93, formerly of 516 W. Falconer St., Falconer passed away Tuesday (June 12, 2018) in Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation. A lifelong area resident she was born April 29, 1925, in Falconer, the daughter of the late Joseph and Filomena Fraterrigo Gaeta. Margaret was a graduate of Falconer High School and was employed by Union National, the Post Journal and the Penny Saver.

She was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church and the Gerald Gaeta Club. Margaret was a great painter and artist in her younger years. She was an avid New York Yankees fan, and enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are her son Philip D. (Lori) DeAngelo of Jamestown; a daughter Cheryl A. Resch of LeRoy, NY; two grandchildren: Danielle DeAngelo and Philip T. (Ashley) DeAngelo; three great grandchildren: Dominic DeAngelo, Kaylee and Theo Melquist. She was preceded in death by her husband Philip J. DeAngelo whom she married April 30, 1949 in Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church, Falconer, who died March 10, 2009; two brothers: Charles and Gerald Gaeta; two sisters: Mary Krieg and Laura Gaeta and a son-in-law Jeff Resch. The DeAngelo family would like to thank the staff and caregivers of Hultquist Place and A-2 at Lutheran for the wonderful care Margaret received.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church, Falconer. Rev. Joseph Jananczek will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends will be received by the family from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home.

The Altar and Rosary Society of OLL will conduct a rosary service at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. A Christian Wake service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be donated to a charity of one’s choice.
