Obituary of Roger Johnson Roger H. Johnson, 87, of Falconer passed away Tuesday (July 10, 2018) in his lifelong home. He was born January 8, 1931 in Jamestown, the son of the late Eric and Anna Carlstrom Johnson. Roger was a 1949 graduate of Falconer High School.

After graduating from Falconer High School Roger turned down a full paid scholarship to RIT to pursue a career in music. He was a musician with several local bands and played in all 48 continental states. In earlier years he was co-owner of the Electric Supply Company for 20 years.

Prior to retirement he was co-owner with his companion Kay D. Swanson of Thousand Pines Nursery. Roger enjoyed music, attending Blue Grass Jamborees, airplanes, target shooting and walking. He was very mechanically inclined and was able to fix just about anything.

Roger built a very special sports car that he enjoyed driving. Surviving are two great nephews: Mathew (Christy) Johnson, Timothy (Anna) Johnson and his family by choice Phyllis Belin, Lee Belin and Dave Phelps. He was preceded in death by his loving companion of 51 years Kay D. Swanson who passed away November 3, 2003; a brother Bennie Johnson and a sister Irene V. Ogren.

Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Pine Hill Cemetery, Falconer. Rev.

Don Ray will officiate. Memorials may be donated to the Falconer Public Library, 101 W. Main St., Falconer, NY 14733 or Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care, 20 W. Fairmount Ave. , Lakewood, NY 14750.
