She was born July 7, 1957 in Sheboygan to Harlan and Marilyn (Hersh) Held. Cheryl graduated from Sheboygan High School and the Lakeland College with a degree in Business.

She had worked at Ansul/Tyco for many years until her illness. On June 20, 1981 Cheryl married Joseph Strojny in Sheboygan Falls, WI. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and also enjoyed reading.

She was an active member of Resurrection Parish and enjoyed volunteering her time to various activities. Cheryl is survived by her husband of 37 years, Joe, a son Mark (Amanda) of Pulaski; a daughter Sara Hensley of Menominee; her mother Marilyn (Don) Martin of Waukesha; step mother Judy Held of Kohler; a brother Steven (Rosewitha) Held of Virginia; two sisters Sue (Don) Schneider of Colorado and Sandy (Greg) Bowe of Florida; and two grandchildren Paige and Jeffrey. She was preceded in death by her father Harlan and a brother Scott.

Visitation will be held at Thielen Funeral Home on Saturday February 9, 2019 from 9am to 10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, for the repose of the soul of Cheryl Strojny, at Resurrection Parish at 11am with Fr. Brian Gerber presiding.

Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
