Christopher K. Nagel October 8, 1957 – March 6, 2019 Christopher K. Nagel, 61, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at 2:40 am in Franciscan Health – Michigan City. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, March 11, 2019 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with Rev. Gerald Schweitzer officiating.

Private burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Otis, IN. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm, Sunday and from 10:00 am – 11:00 am Monday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel. He was born October 8, 1957 in Evergreen Park, Illinois to the late Kenneth and Mary (Pauley) Nagel.

Surviving are four sisters, Mary Katherine “Katie” Nagel of Michigan City, IN, Jean Nagel of Michigan City, IN, Patricia (Gary) Barron of Pendleton, IN and Marianne (Dr. John) Savage of Greencastle, IN; five brothers, Mark (Tracy) Nagel of LaPorte, IN, Andrew (Marly) Nagel of Trail Creek, IN, Matthew Nagel of Flaherty, KY, Thomas (Diane) Nagel of Michigan City, IN and Timothy (Reid Jackson) Nagel of Hillsboro, OR; several nieces and nephews; and special-friends, Kim and the Vernier and Boklund families. Chris was a producer, programmer and on-air talent at WEFM Radio, Michigan City, IN and a graphic artist at Westville Printing. He enjoyed traveling, music and all forms of media.

Chris was a pizza connoisseur and critique and was known affectionately as “The Round Mound of Sound”. Contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice .
