Clifford E. Veite, Sr., 77, of Eldred, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the VA Medical Center, Buffalo, NY. He was born on October 2, 1940 in Bradford, a son of the late Jacob and Christina Wazelle Veite. He was a US Navy veteran who served active duty from 1958 until 1961 and in the reserves until 1964.

While in the Navy Mr. Veite was stationed on board the U.S.S. Des Moines. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. Mr. Veite was also an avid biker.

He is survived by two sons, Clifford (Tami) Veite, Jr. and Steve Veite all of Bradford; two daughters, Debra Veite of Lewis Run and Angela (Mike) Bishop of Bradford; two sisters, Marion “Penny” Updegrove and Pat Savon and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one son, Wayne Veite and one brother, Larry Veite.

Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Cliff’s life on Sunday, July 8, 2018 from 1:00 until 6:00 PM at the Masonic Hall, Bradford. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
