Daniel A. Schiavo, 54, of Kingsford, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain. He was born April 25, 1964 in Kalamazoo, MI, the son of Eugene and Marjorie (Jacobson) Schiavo and has lived in the area since 1971. Dan is survived by his parents, Gene and Marge Schiavo of Kingsford; two sisters, Gina (Gary) Hoaglund of Quinnesec and Liz (Jon) Lorenzoni of Kingsford; an aunt, Merle Schiavo of Crystal Falls; nieces & nephews, Danielle & Casey Hoaglund and Alex, Olivia, Grace and Ella Lorenzoni; and four great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Memorial services will follow at 12:00 noon at the funeral home.

Rev. Matt Ruesch will officiate. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Dan’s memory.
