Schweikl, 83, of New Palestine, IN, died on January 11, 2019 at the Hancock Hospital in Greenfield, IN. He was born June 16, 1935 in Pierce, WA son of John Joseph and Minnie Rachel (Berger) Schweikl. He and Lorraine (Park) Jones were married on January 12, 1963.

She survives in Christchurch, New Zealand. Darryl was career retired from the US Navy. Also retired as a mechanic from Weyerhaeuser Logging Co. in Enumclaw, WA.

Other survivors include one daughter, Caron (Darrell) Hoehn of Perryville; three sons, Craig Schweikl and friend Lori Armstrong of Kelseyville, CA, Richard Schweikl and friend Anna Lee and Robert Schweikl all of Christchurch, New Zealand and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Elbert Darwin Schweikl. Burial in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in Jefferson Barracks, MO.
