Obituary for David Bryan Miller David Bryan Miller Age 58 of Brighton, MI passed away after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease on April 15, 2018. Born July 7, 1959, Dave graduated from Parkside High School and obtained BSME and MSME degrees from Michigan Technological University. Married August 10, 1991, Dave was a devoted father who loved the outdoors and was always eager to water or snow ski.
As a young adult Dave earned a pilot’s license with an instrument rating. He was always eager to try to find someone to go with him to the airshow in Oshkosh. A determined provider for his family, Dave worked in the auto and related industries until Parkinson’s forced his retirement from Delphi in 2009.
After retirement Dave fought his Parkinson’s with active participation in Peddling for Parkinson’s, Parkinson’s Fund Raisers and Rock Steady Boxing. Always eager to be out and about, Dave had many friends and acquaintances and was always ready for a conversation. Our family is grateful for the Peddling for Parkinson’s and Rock Steady staff at the Jackson YMCA and especially to Nate Ford for the kind and considerate assistance he provided to Dave.
Dave had a quiet faith, attending church at Brighton First United Methodist when he could and frequently attending church in Jackson with Mom and Dad more recently. Dave is survived by his wife Christine (Stencel) and sons Bryan, Matthew, and Bradley, parents Lytle and Grace, mother-in-law Catherine (Stencel), and brothers and sisters, Stephen (Carol), Lynn Newhouse (TK), Thomas (Marya), Dawn Samuels (Maurice), and Angie Lape. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Brighton First United Methodist Church.
