David Robert Wood, 61, of Parkersburg passed away April 11, 2018, at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born in Parkersburg, July 10, 1956, a son of the late Clifton and Virginia Pearl (Miller) Wood. He was a construction worker and enjoyed traveling, fishing, gambling, and eating buffets.

He also loved all sports and was a huge NFL and NASCAR fan. He is survived by his daughters Virginia Wood and Heather Jarvis (David Carr); son Craig DeBerry; stepson Dustin Jarvis; seven grandchildren David, Dreyken, and Devon Wood, Adessa Jarvis, Annalaya Carr, Madden and Layla DeBerry; brother Thomas Wood (Ursula); sisters Judy Newhouse (Donald), Kay Rowley (Patrick), and Rita Flowers; significant others Lorinda Wood and Betty DeBerry and best friend John Flowers. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his stepson Drew Jarvis; brother James “Jimbo” Wood and sister Connie Nesselrote.

Services will be 11 AM Tuesday April 17, 2018 at Leavitt Funeral Home Parkersburg with Pastor Ron Hendershot officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, 10 AM until time of service.
