Debra Lynn Hitt , 60, of Mineral Wells passed away June 25, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Debra was born November 29, 1957 in Salinas, CA and was the daughter of the late James Vernon and Anna Louise (Burnside) Gent. She was a homemaker and a pastor’s wife.
She was a member of The Word Church on Rayon Drive. She was a Bible and Sunday School Teacher and was the heart of the church. She worked with “VITA” Volunteer Income Tax Assistance.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren and loved her pets and animals. Debra is survived by her husband R. Lance Hitt; children Melissa Lynn McCrady (Jason), Wesley Lance Hitt (Amber) and Austin Lance Hitt all of Parkersburg; 4 grandchildren Luci and Alana Hitt and Ezekiel and Arletta McCrady; sisters Cheryl Jones, Pauline Lewis and Pamela Lysack; brothers William and Michael Gent and several nieces and nephews The family requests that you be prepared to share a memory of Debra during the service, if you are able to do so. Funeral services will be 1 pm Friday June 29,2018 at the Leavitt Funeral Home Parkersburg, with Pastor R. Lance Hitt officiating.
Burial will follow at Cooley Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.
