Eva Loraine Polsley, 81, of Parkersburg passed away June 19, 2018 at Belpre Landings She was born on December 6, 1936 in Cairo, WV and was the daughter of the late Charles Leroy and Alta Pearl Thomas Hanlon. Eva retired from the Wood County Board of Education and had served as a teacher for many years at Worthington Elementary. She was a member of Parkview United Methodist Church for where she had served as pianist and choir director.

She more recently was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Eva is survived by her sons Steven Paul Polsley (Barbara), Michael Alan Polsley (Amy), both of Parkersburg, grandchildren, Steven Lee, Joshua Adam, Gregory Allen, Michael Albert, Paul Edward “PJ”, sister Ila Pearl Kerns and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-four years Paul Stroud Polsley in 1990, granddaughter Carrie and sisters Dorothy Lucille Reese, Thelma Irene Dawson and Mary Virginia Ingram.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Rev. Michael Daniels officiating. Burial will be at Mt.

Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 – 8 on Friday and for one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.
