He was born February 18, 1949, in Punxsutawney, Pa. , a son of I. Geraldine “Gerrie” Neese Minnick of Corry, Pa. , and the late Willis C. “Willie” Minnick.

Don was raised and educated in Spartanburg, Pa. , and graduated from Sparta High School in 1967. Following high school, he served with the US Army during the Vietnam War.

Following his honorable discharge, Don returned to Corry and began working at Corry Jamestown Corporation for many years. He then worked at Elgin Electronics and retired from Erie Plastics in 2005. Don was a member of the Corry Central Labor Club and the American Legion Post #365 in Corry.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willis C. “Willie” Minnick In addition to his mother, Don is survived by a daughter, Tiffany Minnick of Edinboro, Pa. ; a son, Jeffrey “Jeff” Minnick and his wife Michelle of Spartansburg, Pa. ; two sisters, Linda Claypool and her husband Robert of Erie, Pa.

, and Debora Menjivar and her husband Rene of Corry, Pa. ; and two brothers, Rick Minnick and Roger Minnick and his wife Mary Beth, all of Corry, Pa. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Adam, Rachel, Cassandra, Carly and Emma; a great-granddaughter, Alaina; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Bracken Funeral Home, Inc., 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa. , on Friday from 2 pm until the time of the memorial service there at 4 pm. Rev.

Steve Rieder, pastor of the Corry Church of the Nazarene, will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Spartansburg, Pa. Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 3415, Erie, PA.
