Harold R. “Hal” Paver August 21, 1949 – January 11, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Harold R. “Hal” Paver, 69, of Sundback Rd. , Spartansburg, Pa. , died Friday, January 11, 2019, at Corry Memorial Hospital.

He was born August 21, 1949, in Corry, Pa. , a son of the late Leanor McIntyre Paver. Hal was raised and educated in Corry, graduating from Corry Area High School.

As a young man, he served in the US Marine Corps and received a National Defense Service Medal as a Rifle Expert. Following his honorable discharge, Hal returned to the local area. He lived in Clymer, N.Y., where he owned and operator a dairy farm and also worked at Loblaw’s Grocery Store in North East.

Later, he worked for the U. S. Postal Service as a letter carrier in Corry for 10 years, until his retirement in 1993 due to a disability. Hal was member of the Spartansburg Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. He liked doing work with tractors.

Hal enjoyed spending time outdoors, and liked fishing and raccoon hunting. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his mother, Hal was preceded in death by a son in infancy, Harold R. Paver, Jr.; and by two brothers, Timothy James Paver in infancy and Dale Paver.

Hal is survived by his wife, Vickie G. Baker Paver, whom he married October, 20, 1984, in Spartansburg, Pa. ; three daughters, Christina Fuller and her husband Arthur of Corry, Pa. ; Traci Spencer and her husband Bradley of Ellington, N. Y.; and Joy Parker and her husband Kevin of Conewango, N.Y. ; a son Raymond B. Waite of Erie, Pa.

; four sisters, Ann Smith and her husband Kenneth of Spartansburg, Pa. , Cindy Randolph of Corry, Pa. , Kathy Wilson and her husband Dennis of Ft.

Mill, S.C., and April Marcum of West Virginia; a brother, Thomas Paver II. , of Texas; and an aunt, Balinda Graves and her husband David. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to call at the Spartansburg Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 107 N. Spring St., Spartansburg, Pa. , on Wednesday from 2 pm until the time of the memorial service there at 4 pm. Rev.

Rick Stuczynski will officiate. Following the memorial service, family and friends are invited to gather for a reception in the church fellowship area. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry, Pa.
