Kent, 86, of Apache Avenue, Corry, Pa. , died Thursday, January 10, 2019, at Corry Memorial Hospital. She was born May 1, 1932, in Horse Creek, N.C., a daughter of the late Wells Monroe and Hazel Gross Osborne.

Rosie was raised and educated in North Carolina. In 1960, she moved to Corry with her family. She worked for a dry cleaners in Corry for several years, and at MFG in Union City.

Rosie then worked for Kingsley Cleaning Service for several years. She later owned and operated her own cleaning service, primarily cleaning for Corry Jamestown Corporation and private homes. She retired in the late 1990’s.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Corry. Rosie enjoyed watching old westerns and Matlock. She especially loved Elvis Presley and animals.

In addition to her parents, Rosie was preceded in death in 1981 by her husband, Harry Kent; and two brothers, Johnnie and Victor Osborne. Rosie is survived by a daughter, Connie Murphy of Rochester, N.Y.; two sons, James Davis of North Carolina and Jim Davis of Corry, Pa. ; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren including four special granddaughters, Missy Dyne and her husband Sam, Sarah Davis, Katrina Burlew and her husband Ryan and Erika Davis.

There will be no visitation held. Her family will have a private memorial service. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry, Pa.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 650 Worth St., Corry, PA. 16407. Arrangements are under the care of the Bracken Funeral Home, Inc., 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa.
