Donald Henry “Hot Dog” Miller, 77, of Clay City, passed away on April 15, 2018. Don was born in Lewis, Indiana on September 7, 1940 the son of Henry and Edith (Metcalf) Miller. Don worked for Booe Sawmill for several years.

When he lived in Harrisburg, Illinois he worked for a hat factory. Recently, he worked for “Miller Demolition” helping to take down dilapidated homes in the Clay City area. Don was a unique soul who enjoyed fishing, hunting mushrooms, playing cards and hanging… Read More » around bonfires.

He was extremely kind hearted and never met a stranger anywhere he went. He is survived by his sister Helen Hummer, a brother Raymond Miller (Alice); nephews: Kenneth Hummer, Tom Miller (Michelle), Steven Hummer (Abey); nieces: Angie Hinton (David), Stephanie McClellan and Several Great –great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 301 E. Eighth St. Clay City, Indiana 47841 on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 11am until 1:00pm.

Services will be at the funeral home, Saturday, at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visit www.
