Poweleit, 93, Watertown, formerly of Lake Mills, died on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Aurora Medical Center in Summit. She was born on April 14, 1925 in Adams County, WI, the daughter of the late Thomas and Erna (Bublitz) Hovorka. She was a graduate of Milwaukee Girls Technical High School.

Donna married Fred Poweleit on April 16, 1943 in Milwaukee. She had owned and operated Donna’s Fashions in Lake Mills for 10 years. She was a member of the St. Paul Ev.

Lutheran Church in Lake Mills and had been a member and past president of the Lake Mills American Legion Post #67 Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband of 75 years, Fred of Watertown; their children, Jerald (Barbara) of Lakewood, Colorado; Connie Rae Eschenbach of Lake Mills; one grandson, Robert (Cassandra) Eschenbach; one great granddaughter, Harper Grace Eschenbach; one sister, Marlene (Patrick) Trempe of Sun Lake, Arizona; three nieces Mary Beth, Kathy, and Debbie; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, February 8, 2019 at St. Paul Ev.

Lutheran Church in Lake Mills with visitation beginning at 5 p.m. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield, WI. If desired, memorials would be appreciated to the St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church Building Fund.
