Doris Kathleen (Hollada) Gartner, 86, of Salisbury, PA, died Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown, PA. Born September 19, 1932, in Grantsville, MD, she is the daughter of the late Russell W. and Mary E. (Folk) Hollada. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Albert Gartner; three sisters, Violet Wiley, Fern Nealis and Leola Sivits; five brothers, Randall Hollada, Nile Hollada, Raymond Hollada, Tom Hollada and Edwin Hollada.

Mrs. Gartner was a gear worker for the New England Gear Works. She was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by one son, Charles “Chip” (Susan) Gartner, Dunedin, FL; one daughter, Sally Ann Gartner, Salisbury and one grandson, Bill Gartner.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Hwy. , Salisbury, on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home, Friday, October 26, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Tommy Holliday officiating. Interment will be in the Salisbury Cemetery.
